Mirza Ghalib

The first characteristic of poetry is its directness and innovative style of expression, but only those who are fully aware and familiar with the nature of their content can present their thoughts, feelings or content in a pleasant and appropriate way. During the time of Mir, poetry was simply a matter of expressing spiritual and heartfelt feelings and emotions, as if the poet himself was forced to lighten this burden of the soul and heart for the sake of his own spiritual satisfaction. There was a kind of surrender in which the poet's perfection was simply to be able to express the depth of passion and spiritual yearning with all its power and effect. Therefore, having a very sensitive heart is the first condition, and the intensity of feelings is not surrender and helplessness. They do not want to lighten the soul by simply expressing the intensity and anguish, but their mind is overcome by it and they want to rise above their emotions and feelings and find pleasure in them. Or, let's say, after the yearning, they play with their emotions and then create a philosophical indifference or indifference for the peace of their soul.
